How to create and edit images with AI
To make an AI image, describe the subject, style, light and composition in a sentence or two; to edit your own photo, upload it and say the change, such as "remove the background". Free plans usually come with a limit: OrujovAI's Free plan includes 10 images a week, edits included, and you can write in English, Azerbaijani or Russian.
Create an image in OrujovAI Chat →Create an image from text: how to write the prompt
An AI image generator draws what you describe and guesses the rest, so a vague request gives a generic picture. Compare "a cat" with "a ginger cat asleep on a windowsill in an old Baku courtyard, watercolour illustration, soft morning light, close-up, warm pastel colours". Then refine one thing at a time ("the same, but at night") to see what each word changes.
A good prompt covers five things:
- Subject: who or what, doing what, plus a detail: "an old man selling pomegranates at a market stall", not "a man".
- Style: photo, watercolour, flat illustration, 3D render, pencil sketch.
- Light: soft morning light, golden hour, neon at night, studio light.
- Composition: close-up or wide shot, from above or at eye level, empty space for text.
- Colour and mood: warm pastels, black and white, calm, dramatic.
Styles: posters, logos, 3D and illustration
Naming a style changes the whole feel of a picture:
- Illustration and anime: describe the look ("hand-drawn anime style, soft watercolour background"). A Ghibli-style portrait of yourself is a popular bit of fun, but copying a studio's real characters, or selling such pictures as official merchandise, crosses the line.
- 3D: "soft 3D render, clay look, studio light" suits icons, stickers and avatars.
- Posters: ask for the picture with empty space and no text, then add the title, date and address yourself. Image models still often misspell words, especially ones with Azerbaijani letters like ə, ğ and ş.
- Logos: ask for "a simple flat logo, one symbol, two colours, white background, no text", pick one of several and have it redrawn as a vector file. Check it doesn't resemble an existing brand.
- Product pictures: photograph the real product and let AI change only the background; an invented product misleads buyers.
Editing your own photo with a sentence
Newer AI photo editors take plain language instead of brushes and layers. AI can also describe a picture: ask "What's in this photo?" or "Write alt text for this image" for a caption, alt text for blind readers or a chart explanation. It can misread small text, so check what matters.
To edit a photo well:
- Upload a clear, well-lit photo; blurry images give weak results.
- Ask for one specific change at a time: "remove the background and make it white", "remove the person on the left", "turn this photo into a watercolour".
- Say what must stay: "keep my face, pose and clothes exactly the same".
- Check hair edges, hands, faces and text at full size; ask for fixes in the next message instead of starting over.
Restoring and improving old photos
Start with a good copy: lay the print flat in daylight, avoid glare and hold the phone straight above it. Then go step by step: remove scratches and dust, sharpen, and only then colourise.
In OrujovAI you upload the photo in Chat and write "remove the scratches and colourise this naturally". An honest limit: on the Free plan only your first image uses the premium image model; later Free edits redraw the photo from a description, so faces and details can change. Paid plans use the premium model for every image.
Whatever tool you use:
- Keep the original file: every AI pass changes the pixels.
- Colours are guesses: a dress that comes out blue may have been red.
- Faces can shift slightly, so compare before sharing and tell relatives it was restored with AI.
- Restoring isn't animating: making a portrait move is a separate video task.
Rules: copyright, real people and honesty
Image tools make it easy to cross a line without noticing:
- Copyright: in 2025 the US Copyright Office said images generated entirely by AI, even from a detailed prompt, can't be copyrighted; only the human contribution can. Other countries differ. OrujovAI's terms say you own what the AI generates for you; even so, have a designer finish a business logo, since human changes are what copyright can protect.
- Other people's work: don't pass off an artist's painting, a brand's logo or a famous character as yours.
- Real people: no images of a real person without consent, and nothing sexual, humiliating or placing them where they never were. Realistic deepfakes deceive, hurt and in many countries break the law.
- Honesty: say an image is AI-made in a school project, a news post or an ad. YouTube and TikTok ask creators to label realistic AI content.
- School: an AI illustration you disclose is usually fine; handing in AI art as your own drawing is cheating. Use AI to learn, not to pass its work off as yours.
How many images you can make for free
In OrujovAI Chat guests can't create images. Each new image and each photo edit counts as one; describing a photo is an ordinary message and doesn't count toward images. The week is a rolling 7 days, and images from text come out square for now, which suits avatars and posts. Paid plans are not on sale yet.
With a free account (no card needed), the weekly allowance per plan is:
- Free: 10 images a week.
- Plus: 30 a week, 12 ₼ for 30 days.
- Pro: 60 a week, 24 ₼ for 30 days.
- Ultra: 100 a week, 29 ₼ for 30 days.
Questions
Is there a free AI image generator?
Yes. Many give a limited number of free images after a free sign-up. OrujovAI's Free plan includes 10 images a week, photo edits included, with no card; guests can't create images.
Can I write an image prompt in Azerbaijani or Russian?
Yes. In OrujovAI you can describe the picture in Azerbaijani (even typed without ə, ş and ç), Russian or English, and the chat turns your words into a detailed prompt. Check any text on the image.
How do I remove the background from a photo with AI?
Upload it, write "remove the background and make it white" or name a new background, then check hair and hand edges at full size. In OrujovAI that uses one image of your weekly allowance.
Can AI restore an old photo?
Yes: it removes scratches, sharpens and colourises, but colours are guesses and faces can shift. Keep the original and compare before sharing.
Can I use an AI-generated logo for my business?
Check the tool's terms. OrujovAI's give you ownership, but in the US fully AI-made images can't be copyrighted, so have a designer finish the logo and check it doesn't resemble an existing brand.
